What is Psychotherapy?
Therapy provides a safe, confidential place where you can talk to a trained professional about any issues that concern you. All people experience emotional problems at times, and these can often be resolved without outside help. But sometimes it may feel impossible to cope.
People seek therapy because they feel particularly vulnerable, confused or distressed, or just because they want to try and understand themselves better. They may know what the root of the problem is, or be at a loss to understand what is causing their painful or unmanageable feelings.
Psychotherapy can help you to look at your current problems, and to try and understand whether past events may have contributed to those difficulties.
